This series came out of my love for portraiture—not likeness, not perfection, but attention.
These women aren’t symbols or archetypes.
They’re moments. Expressions. Attitudes.
Bold color fields hold the space while the figures do the talking.
Sisters grew naturally out of the kids series.
Same curiosity. Same playfulness.
Just older now. More aware. Less apologetic.
I paint people as a way of telling stories—quiet ones, defiant ones, familiar ones.
